
About Otto Fire & Rescue:
OTTO FIRE & RESCUE proudly protects 3990 people living in an area of 60 square miles. We operate out of two stations that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department that has one fulltime paid member the other members are on a volunteer status.
Our dept was organized in 1978 to provide much needed rural fire protection. Enthusiam spread faned by the organizational talents and fire fighting expertise of former miami fire chief Ben Durfey who had retired here,and the ofer of a fire truck donated by William Q. Dowling.Roy Henson was elected chief and served in that possition for 25 yrs.
